We started by using our proprietary research tool WireTappingTM to see what was happening in the candidate and recruiter dynamic. Candidates told us there was no shortage of jobs, but they didn’t know how to stand out. Hiring managers told us that there’s so many candidates, they’re overwhelmed with cookie cutter resumes that say nothing of their emotional qualities. Which led to the question; how long do recruiters really look at a CV before moving on? Seven seconds. Research showed that this is the average amount of time recruiters and hiring managers give a resume before moving on. Sobering.
